Editorial policy

Independence

Ratings and rankings are produced by our published rubric and cannot be bought. Affiliate commissions never influence a score, a ranking position, or whether we recommend a product. Providers never see articles before publication and cannot pay to change one.

Sourcing

Every factual claim — prices, audits, server counts, policies — must trace to a primary source: the provider's own documentation or the auditor's published report. Each article lists its sources with access dates. If we can't verify a claim, we either say it's unverified or we don't publish it.

How we use AI

Research and drafting on this site are AI-assisted. Every page then goes through review before it publishes: facts are checked against the cited primary sources, and copy is edited by the editorial team. AI speeds up the work; it doesn't lower the burden of proof. A page that can't pass fact-checking doesn't ship.

Corrections

We correct verified errors and update the page's "last reviewed" date. Report one atsupport@vpnpicks2027.com. Material corrections are noted on the page.

Review cadence

Money pages (rankings, reviews, comparisons) are re-verified on a fixed schedule; guides are reviewed when the facts they teach change. The date under every headline is real — it changes only when a human has actually re-checked the page.
